Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you accept insurance or provide superbills?

Healing Path Therapy is private pay only. We do not bill insurance or provide superbills at this time. We anticipate adding insurance billing by summer 2026.

  • What is the cost of therapy?

    Individual Therapy - $125/session

    Child & Adolescent Therapy - $150/session

    Couples Therapy - $150/session

We accept major credit cards and cash for payment.

  • Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?

Services are offered in person and virtually using a secure HIPPA compliant program named Simple Practice.

  • What can I expect in my first session?

The first session is an opportunity for the therapist and client to get to know each other and begin exploring what brings the client to therapy. The therapist will ask about current concerns, goals, and any relevant history, and will also explain their therapeutic approach and answer any questions the client may have.

The session moves at the client’s pace—there is never pressure to share more than they feel ready to. By the end, the therapist and client will work together to outline a plan for therapy so the client knows what to expect moving forward. The goal is for each person to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and confident about the next steps.

  • How long will therapy take?

The length of therapy is different for everyone and depends on your goals, the concerns you’re working through, and how often we meet. Some clients feel meaningful progress after just a few sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. Together, we’ll discuss your goals early on and check in regularly to make sure therapy continues to meet your needs.

Our approach is to move at a pace that feels comfortable and respectful of your process—whether that’s brief, focused work or deeper, ongoing exploration. There is no “right” timeline; your healing journey is uniquely yours.

  • What types of therapy do you offer?

This practice offers several evidence-based therapies tailored to the unique needs of each client. The therapist integrates the following approaches:

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR):
A trauma-focused therapy that helps the brain process distressing memories and reduce their emotional impact. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation—such as eye movements or tapping—to support the brain’s natural healing process and help clients feel less triggered by past experiences.

    Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT):
An evidence-based model designed to help children, adolescents, and families understand and heal from trauma. TF-CBT combines cognitive behavioral strategies with psychoeducation, emotional regulation skills, and supportive caregiver involvement to create a safe path toward recovery.

    Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT):
A structured approach for couples that focuses on strengthening emotional bonds and improving patterns of communication. EFCT helps partners identify unmet emotional needs, break out of conflict cycles, and build secure, trusting connections.

    Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT):
A widely used, research-supported approach that helps clients understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. CBT teaches practical skills for managing anxiety, depression, trauma symptoms, and other challenges by identifying unhelpful patterns and building healthier, more effective coping strategies.

Each client receives a personalized treatment plan based on their goals, preferences, and the therapeutic methods most likely to support their healing.
